Kristie Stasinski, RN, IBCLC – Clinic Coordinator
Kristie became a Registered Nurse in 1992 and has been working with mothers and babies throughout her entire career. She began working in the department of Maternal Child Health at Botsford in 1994. Kristie obtained her certification as a Lactation Counselor in 2005, and became an Internationally Board Certified Lactation consultant in 2008. Kristie has been working in the lactation clinic since 2006 and became the clinic coordinator in 2012. Kristie is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science Nursing program at University of Michigan.
Pat Salter RN, IBCLC
Pat is a Registered Nurse who is also a certified Lactation Consultant. Pat has worked in the area of maternity nursing for over 25 years, focusing on breastfeeding mothers for the past 20 years. She was instrumental in establishing Botsford Breastfeeding Services, and has worked as a consultant in the clinic since its inception.
She has also worked as a home visit nurse, providing care for new moms and babies, and currently provides follow-up phone calls to all mothers who have delivered at Botsford.
Elaine Webber, DNP, PNP-BC, IBCLC
Elaine is a Registered Nurse with a Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice. She is also a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and certified Lactation Consultant. As a health professional, she has worked extensively with mothers and babies, both in the hospital and in a pediatric office (Botsford Pediatric Associates).
After establishing Botsford Breastfeeding services in 1995, she has continued providing hands-on assistance to patients and families. Elaine serves on the boards of a variety of professional organizations, and is a frequent presenter at educational conferences. Currently Elaine works full time as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at a local university but continues to see patients at Botsford Hospital.
Jean Benedict RN, BSN, IBCLC
Jean is a registered nurse who is also certified as a Lactation Consultant. Jean has 30 years’ experience as a maternal child health nurse. She became certified as a Lactation Consultant in 1994. As a maternal health nurse Jean has worked with premature babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care, mothers and infants as a home care nurse and children of all ages in a Pediatric Urgent Care and at the Health Department. Since Becoming a Lactation Consultant she has worked with mothers and babies in the hospital, in breastfeeding clinics and in the home.
Sekeita Lewis-Johnson RN, BSN, IBCLC
Sekeita received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University in 1997. She has been an RN for 15 years, 10 of them working in maternal child nursing. Previously she worked as a surgical nurse during Pediatric Surgical procedures. Sekeita is also a Nurse Educator at Oakland Community College, working for 4 of the past years as a Maternal-Child Clinical Instructor. Sekeita became a certified as a lactation consultant in 2008. Since then she has continued working in a labor and delivery unit as well as in the lactation clinic.
