Carolyn D. Nelson, D.O.
Dr. Nelson is a board certified family practitioner, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients of all ages from infants to senior citizens. Because illness and injury can be fraught with stress and fear, Dr. Nelson feels it is important that she take the time to fully educate her patients about their afflictions and discuss with them the options available. She strives to make each visit as easy as possible by maintaining much of the most needed diagnostic equipment in her office.
Dr. Nelson is a graduate of the Des Moines University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences and received postgraduate training at Botsford Hospital. She continues to be affiliated with Botsford, serving as Director of the Family Practice Residency Training Program. Dr. Nelson is an Associate Professor at Michigan State University, college of Osteopathic Medicine, and a member of the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Family Practitioners.
