Angela Lukomski, R.N., M.S.N., C.P.N.P.
Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Angela is highly trained in all aspects of pediatric healthcare. She trained at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, and has over eight years of pediatric experience with Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit.
Angela’s primary focus is patient and family education with an emphasis on health maintenance and disease prevention, safety, and growth and development. She takes a special interest in breastfeeding and is able to work with you and your infant in the office one-on-one and answer any questions that may come up to facilitate breastfeeding. She also specializes in childhood asthma, obesity, and autism.
Angela received her B.S.N. from the University of Michigan and earned her Master’s degree in Maternal Child Health from Wayne State University. Angela also holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree (DNP) from Oakland University. She is certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the National Certification Board and holds both a registered nurse and pediatric nurse practitioner specialty license with the State of Michigan.
Angela is on faculty at Eastern Michigan University where she teaches a variety of nursing courses. She has an active research agenda that addresses advanced nursing practice, technology and pediatric healthcare and safety. Angela’s work has been published in a variety of professional journals. Most recently, Angela has joined the Autism Collaborative Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan where she is working on increasing autism awareness and providing primary services to those with limited healthcare access. She lectures for various groups, organizations, and colleges advocating for quality and accessible healthcare for all children.
