Angela Lukomski, RN, DNP, C.P.N.P.
Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Angela is highly trained in all aspects of pediatric health care. She earned her BSN from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and trained at U of M C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. She earned her MSN with a pediatric specialty from Wayne State University while working at Children’s Hospital of Michigan (CHM), and earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Oakland University.
She is certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the Pediatric National Certification Board (PNCB) and holds both a registered nurse and pediatric nurse practitioner specialty license with the State of Michigan. Angela has over twenty years of experience working with children and is certified in Neonatal Advanced Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Angela's primary focus is patient and family education with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention and pediatric growth and development. She takes a special interest in breastfeeding and is able to work with you and your infant(s) in the office to answer any questions to facilitate breastfeeding. She also specializes in childhood asthma, autism, dermatology, and obesity.
Angela is a tenured professor at Eastern Michigan University. She has an active research agenda that addresses advanced nursing practice, technology, pediatric healthcare and safety. Angela is invited to present nationally and is published in several pediatric related journals. Most recently, Angela has co-founded PediaTrac™ which is a digital tool to assess the growth and development of infants and toddlers to identify risk for autism and other neuro-behavioral disorders earlier. She is recognized as an expert in pediatric growth and development and is an advocate for quality and accessible healthcare for all children.
