Exciting things happening at Botsford Cancer Center

You may have recently seen Dr. Mihai Ghilezan, the director of brachytherapy at Botsford Cancer Center, on the front page of the Detroit News. If you missed their story, check it out!

The Detroit News story focuses on high-dose radiation (HDR) brachytherapy, a kind of treatment for prostate, breast, and other types of cancer that Botsford specializes in. This can potentially benefit thousands of patients in the Metro Detroit area – pretty exciting news.

Here’s Dr. Ghilezan talking about the benefits of HDR brachytherapy in his own words:

The Botsford Cancer Center is home to some of the leading oncologists in the region – we’ll keep you posted as they continue to make cancer care safer and more effective for our patients.
