Farmington Hills, Mich. (April 22, 2009)---Botsford Health Care, the corporate parent of Botsford Hospital, Botsford Commons Senior Community and Community Emergency Medical Service has promoted David Marcellino to executive vice president and chief financial officer.
With 722 FTEs and 61 cost centers reporting to him, Marcellino now has responsibility for several clinical departments and services and most non-clinical functions.
Marcellino began working for Botsford in 1989 and most recently served as corporate vice president and chief financial officer. Previously, this Novi resident held a variety of increasingly responsible positions in accounting and finance.
He serves on the board of directors of the Michigan Peer Review Organization (MPRO) and holds membership in several accounting and finance professional organizations. Marcellino is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional-Physician Practices. He holds degrees from Indiana University and Butler University.
Botsford Hospital is a multi-specialty 330 bed hospital and verified trauma center located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The campus also houses an imaging center and a comprehensive care cancer center. Botsford Hospital is also home to an extensive medical education program and is part of Michigan State University's statewide campus system. Botsford Hospital each year cares for approximately 16,000 inpatients and more than 60,000 emergency and trauma patients with a team of 2,500 employees, 300 volunteers and more than 600 physicians. A not-for-profit hospital, Botsford provided almost $10.5 million in community benefit during its 2011 fiscal year.
