Farmington Hills, Mich. (April 17, 2009)---Botsford Hospital is having a big Saturday with two wonderful community events. On Saturday, April 25, Botsford will host an open house at the new Botsford Cancer Center from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and a Safety and Injury Prevention Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Community Room of Botsford Hospital’s Zieger Administration & Education Building.
The Botsford Cancer Center open house will includes tours, a chance to meet staff members, a variety of educational and informational displays and the opportunity to purchase a brick in the Botsford Inn Commemorative Brick Plaza at a discounted rate. Physicians affiliated with the cancer center will also be offering a series of informational presentations throughout the day. Topics and times for the presentations are available on Botsford Hospital’s Web site at www.botsford.org.
The Safety and Injury Prevention Fair will have experts and exhibits on disaster preparedness, sunburn safety, tornado safety, medication safety, fall prevention, car seat safety and bike safety with helmets available for $6. There will be AAA’s driving simulator and a tour of a medical transport flight helicopter. The Farmington Hills Fire Department will display its Smoke House. Raffles, food and prizes will also be part of the day.
