Botsford News Release
Farmington Hills, Mich. (May 11, 2012)---Tiffiny Kruse, RN, a staff nurse working in the Emergency & Trauma Center (ER) at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, has been selected as a recipient of a Botsford Hospital 2012 Safety Excellence Award. The award recognizes employees' contributions to the hospital's safety initiatives. Safety is a pillar on which the hospital has built its clinical care.
Kruse was recognized for increasing communication among the staff from one shift to the next regarding current patients’ conditions and requests. Her efforts not only have led to a safer environment for patients, but also patient satisfaction with Botsford’s ER has increased.
Taking the initiative, Kruse built a team of coworkers from the ER to outline information that should be included in a new bedside report.
