Farmington Hills, Mich. (June 2, 2011)---Sanford Sklar, M.D., has joined the medical staff at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. Board certified in pulmonary and critical care medicine, Dr. Sklar practices at the office of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine located on the campus of Botsford Hospital at 28080 Grand River Ave., Suite 306 North, Farmington Hills. Patients seeking care for pulmonary and sleep disorders may schedule appointments by calling (248) 471-8968. Dr. Sklar also consults with and refers patients to the Botsford Sleep Disorder Center, a facility accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
After receiving his medical education from American University of the Caribbean in Montserrat, West Indies, Dr. Sklar completed the internal medicine residency program at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac. He also did two fellowships: one in pulmonary medicine at the VA Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire, and another in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Detroit Medical Center.
Dr. Sklar serves on the faculty of Michigan State University as an assistant clinical professor in the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
