Farmington Hills, Mich. (August 30, 2010)---The Botsford Hospital Cancer Center will host a free cancer screening and educational event on Saturday, October 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Screenings offered will include mammograms for breast cancer, prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test for prostate cancer, stool guaiac test and digital rectal exam for colorectal cancer, oral screenings with the ViziLite Plus System for head and neck cancers, and skin checks for skin cancer. Preliminary familial counseling will be available for people interested in learning about family medical history and cancer. All screenings will be free and will follow the American Cancer Society’s guidelines.
