Botsford News Release
Farmington Hills, Mich. (February 10, 2010)---Michael Rebock, D.O., has been named chief of staff at Botsford Hospital. Dr. Rebock’s responsibilities will include maintaining communications between the medical staff and serving as president of the hospital’s Executive Committee.
Dr. Rebock, a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania, began his career at Botsford with his internship in 1991. He is a general surgeon at Botsford with a practice located on the hospital’s campus. Dr. Rebock replaces Philip Kaplan, D.O., a pulmonologist, who will serve as past president.
Other officers of the medical staff for 2010 include Andrew Cykiert, D.O., president elect; Kevin Frankel, D.O., vice president; Eugene Laveroni, D.O., treasurer; Raimundo Pastor, D.O., secretary; James Lyddon, D.O., member at large; David Gowman, D.O., member at large; and Randall Wurtz, M.D., member at large.
Botsford Hospital is a multi-specialty 330 bed hospital and verified trauma center located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The campus also houses an imaging center and a comprehensive care cancer center. Botsford Hospital is also home to an extensive medical education program and is part of Michigan State University's statewide campus system. Botsford Hospital each year cares for approximately 16,000 inpatients and more than 60,000 emergency and trauma patients with a team of 2,500 employees, 300 volunteers and more than 600 physicians. A not-for-profit hospital, Botsford provided almost $10.5 million in community benefit during its 2011 fiscal year.
