Fat Tuesday is Fit at Botsford

Novi, MI (February 11, 2009)--- Fat Tuesday is coming and for many that involves eating paczkis and leaving behind their fitness goals for 2009.  That’s why the Botsford Center for Health Improvement (BCHI) is offering its 2nd Annual Fit Tuesday.  The day is devoted to help work off those paczkis and enjoy health snacks as an alternative.

Stop by BCHI on Tuesday, February 24 between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. for free group exercise classes, an ask the nutritionist booth, recipes and healthy snacks, and use of the facility’s exercise equipment, pool and sauna for the day.  Activities are free and no reservations are required.

As part of Fit Tuesday, BCHI is also launching the Metabolism Matters line of services.  Ever wonder how many calories really are in a paczki?  Want to know how many calories you burn while working out?  Calorie budgeting is an essential part of weight management.  Monica Pagels, Manager of BCHI, says, “With these new services, you won’t have to guess about how many calories you have to burn to lose weight.  You can receive a customized meal plan with the right amount of calories.  Balance that with a workout with a personal trainer and that burns enough calories to keep the weight off.”

Metabolism Matters includes calorie budgeting, meal planning, personal training and nutrition coaching.  Pricing for these programs starts at $89.  Pagels, says, “The best part is that you can even schedule a grocery trip with the nutritionist and learn the best way to shop for healthy foods.”
