Farmington Hills, MI (January 7, 2009)--- On January 1, 2009, Paul LaCasse, D.O., became President and CEO of Botsford Health Care in Farmington Hills. He will also continue his role as President and CEO of Botsford Hospital. Dr. LaCasse replaces Gerson Cooper who served as President and CEO of Botsford Health Care for more than 20 years. Mr. Cooper retired December 31, 2008, and will continue his involvement in a leadership role in The Botsford Foundation.
Dr. LaCasse has been a member of the Botsford Hospital medical staff since 1979. He has served various roles at Botsford Hospital including Emergency Department physician, medical director, and executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Dr. LaCasse is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also earned a master’s degree in Public Health, Health Services Management and Policy from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
Dr. LaCasse is a member of the Farmington Hills Economic Development Corporation. He also has leadership roles in many professional organizations, serving as a board member of the Michigan Health and Hospital Association and a board member of the Greater Detroit Area Health Council. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians.
