Farmington Hills, MI (December 2, 2008)--- Alvaro Martinez, M.D., has joined the medical staff at Botsford Hospital and will care for patients at Botsford’s new Cancer Center opening in January.
Dr. Martinez is board certified in therapeutic radiology and radiation oncology. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the American Society of Therapeutic Radiologists, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Brachytherapy Society.
Dr.Martinez received his medical education from University Javeriana in Colombia and performed his internship at Jamaica Hospital in New York. He completed a radiation oncology residency at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where he was Chief Resident.
