Farmington Hills, MI (January 25, 2008)--- Susan Steigerwalt, M.D., has joined the medical staff at Botsford Hospital.
Dr. Steigerwalt, a Detroit resident, is board certified with a subspecialty in nephrology. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, Renal Physicians Association, the American Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Hypertension. Dr. Steigerwalt is a clinical associate professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine.

Dr. Steigerwalt received her medical education from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed an internship at Detroit General Hospital. She performed her medical residency at Detroit General Hospital and Detroit Receiving where she was Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Steigerwalt also performed a nephrology fellowship at Wayne State University School of Medicine and a hypertension research fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She has a special interest in resistant and difficult to control hypertension.
