Farmington Hills, MI (October 13, 2006)--- Families in the community surrounding Botsford now have access to the outstanding child care services that Botsford employees have enjoyed for years. Botsford General Hospital began offering childcare services to its employees in 1986. As of September 1, the Botsford General Hospital Child Care Center has expanded its program and is now accepting applications from members of the community.
The Child Care Center, licensed by the State of Michigan, offers infant care for children 6 weeks to 18 months, toddler care for children 18 months to 3 years old and pre-school/ child care for children 3 to 6 years old. The Center offers two infant rooms, one toddler room and one pre-school room. In addition to childcare, the Center also offers a day camp and vacation days for children 6 to 10 years old.
The Center requires its lead teachers to have Bachelor’s degrees, and all of the staff must have childcare experience or attended child development classes. Jackie Schubert, Child Care Director, says, “The Child Care Center offers a nurturing environment that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth. We encourage parents to be part of the experience and “drop by” to visit throughout the day.”
Currently there are spaces available for infants and pre-school children. There are also a few part time toddler spaces. To find out more information about the Botsford General Hospital Child Care Center or to register, please contact Jackie Schubert at (248) 471-8102.
