Farmington Hills, MI (March 30, 2006)--- Sarah B. McDade, M.D., has joined the medical staff at Botsford General Hospital.
Dr. McDade, a Detroit resident, is a Board Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician and is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine. She see patients from 10 years of age and older for injuries or conditions of the joints and muscles. This includes sprains, tendonitis, neck and back pain, and arthritis. Her practices involve treatment of more chronic conditions, such as stroke or general weakness, which may require specialized evaluation, nerve (EMG) tests, physical therapy, rehabilitation or bracing.
Dr. McDade is the founder and director of the Women’s Health and Performance Center, which focuses on health programs for active females, from teens to seniors. She is a strong advocate for developing more active women and supporting the female athlete.
Dr. McDade practices at Michigan Sports and Spine Center, which has two locations. One office is located at 1819 East Big Beaver, Suite 210 in Troy and the other is at 18312 Middlebelt Rd. in Livonia. Dr. McDade graduated from Stanford University and then received her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. She performed an internship at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago and completed her Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago. After finishing the residency program as chief resident, Dr. McDade added to her training and expertise with a one-year fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
