Margaret Lightner is chief operating officer of Botsford Commons Senior Community in Farmington Hills.
She was elected in November 2007 as the chair of the Michigan Center for Assisted Living (MCAL) Board of Directors, an organization in which she has been active for seven years. MCAL is an organization that supports Assisted Living Providers throughout the State of Michigan, providing education and quality initiatives to positively impact the lives of the elderly and aging, as well as participating in legislative and regulatory changes.
Lightner also serves as the Michigan State Representative for the National Center for Assisted Living and is a member of the NCAL Quality Committee.
Lightner arrived at Botsford in 1998 to open the Botsford Commons Senior Living Center. She has a masters degree in Healthcare Administration and is a licensed nursing home administrator and a registered dietitian.
