When Robin Lind, of Redford, learned she was expecting, one thing was certain - she would deliver at Botsford Hospital. All six of the Lind children were born at Botsford, as were parents Robin and husband, Michael. Robin's mother, grandma Connie Breuer, delivered four of her five children at Botsford.
For 14 years, Robin has been a patient of Comprehensive Obstetrics & Gynecology in Livonia, an office owned by Botsford Hospital and a training facility for medical interns and OB-GYN residents.
"Dr. Adam Cooper has been my obstetrician since he began at Botsford. It was a comfort to me to know that no matter when I went into labor, one of the office's four talented doctors would be waiting at the hospital's delivery room for me. They're all great doctors, and I like that they train new doctors."
Robin's first-name basis and comfort level with staff extends beyond using its New Beginnings Maternity Center. At 13 she required surgery. Since then, she has always liked coming to "her" community hospital. "I'd never be comfortable anywhere else."
The Linds use Botsford Pediatric Associates in Farmington for their children's medical care. They are assured knowing the office is owned by Botsford Hospital. Its six pediatricians and three pediatric nurse practitioners are ready to care for their children.
