Ruth & Ken Marsh
Cardiac Arrest

To The Staff At Botsford Hospitals Critical Care Unit

On November 4, 2010 I was brought into Botsford Hospital after suffering Instant Cardiac Death.

I have no recollection of my first ten days of care but according to my husband, sons and our brothers and sister the care that I was given was above and beyond anything that they could have ever imagined.

My husband and I want to thank every person that assisted me during this traumatic time in my life but also the lives of my family.

On Sunday November 14,2010 I finally roused enough to recognize my family. I have never been surrounded with such caring people as I was with all the staff that cared for me throughout my stay at Botsford. I was so touched how many staff that had cared for me came to wish me well when I transferred from Botsford.

My husband and I as well the rest of our family want to thank each and everyone of you for the care that was given to me during this horrifying medical experience.

I feel so amazingly blessed to be here with my husband and that I will be able to share in the life of our two year old grand-daughter and will be here to meet
my new grand-daughter the end of December and meet my new grand-son in
mid February! My sons attribute me being here to my husband's quick response to 911 with police officers arriving within seconds respectively followed by EMS who shocked my heart at the scene and the for the unbelievable care I received from every person involved in my care at Botsford. My husband and family remain in awe of the care I received.

I don't know how to thank you all on behalf of my husband, sons and myself for giving me a second opportunity at life!

Thank You So Very Much For Everything,
Ruth & Ken Marsh and sons Matthew and Mitchell
