Paul E. Wenig, D.O.
Rheumatology
Board certified in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Wenig specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of adults and children with arthritic complaints and rheumatic diseases. He believes listening to patients is an important part of their treatment plan. He takes time to answer questions and explain procedures and options in lay-terms. He is committed to patient satisfaction and informs patients and their family doctor of examination results as soon as possible. Additionally, Dr. Wenig's office is equipped with a densitometer (DEXA machine) to measure bone-density. It is non-invasive and is the most accurate method of evaluating a person's risk for osteoporosis.
Dr. Wenig received his medical degree from Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed post-graduate training at Botsford Hospital. Dr. Wenig belongs to several professional societies including the Oakland County Osteopathic Association, Michigan Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, American Rheumatism Association and the American College of Osteopathic Internists. Dr. Wenig is also a Clinical Associate Professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
