Inocencio A. Cuesta, M.D.
Board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatric Medicine, Dr. Cuesta trained in adult and pediatric rheumatology at Wayne State University School of Medicine and at Children's Hospital of Michigan. He believes listening to patients is an important part of their treatment plan. He takes time to answer questions and explain procedures and options in lay-terms. He is committed to patient satisfaction and informs patients and family doctors of examination results as soon as possible. Additionally, Dr. Cuesta's office is equipped with a densitometer (DEXA machine) to measure bone density. It is non-invasive and is the most accurate method of evaluating a personís risk for osteoporosis.
Dr. Cuesta received his medical degree from the Universidad Technologica de Santiago School of Medicine in the Dominican Republic. He completed residencies in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of St. Raphaels in Connecticut, which is affiliated with Yale University School of Medicine, and in Pediatrics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine of the City University of New York. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatric Medicine. Dr. Cuesta is also fluent in Spanish.
