Dr. Yung is a graduate of the University of Minnesota where he earned a Bachelor's degree. He later earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, an affiliate of the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.

After graduation he went to Detroit, Michigan and completed a Primary Podiatric Medical Residency at Mercy Hospital. There he received extensive training in all aspects of patient medical care and clinical treatments. At Mercy Hospital, Dr. Yung trained in diabetic and nondiabetic wound care, foot reconstruction, limb salvage, infection management, and trauma.

His surgical Residency training was completed at the Surgery Center of South Bay Harbor - University of California, Los Angeles (U.C.L.A.), with extensive training in all types of foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Yung also served as Chief Resident of the Baja Project for Crippled Children and has continued to serve on several surgical missions to El Salvador.

In addition to surgery of the foot and ankle, Dr. Yung specializes in pediatric congenital deformities and neuromuscular disorders. His practice offers comprehensive foot care services with x-rays and ultrasound imaging available in-office. Dr. Yung is board certified in podiatric surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and a fellow of American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
