Robert McMichael III, D.O.
Internal Medicine
Dr. McMichael is board-certified in internal medicine. He cares for patients by using his extensive clinical training and experience, treating each patient with compassion. His special interests include diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular and pulmonary disease.
As an internist, Dr. McMichael provides long-term, comprehensive care at Midwest Internal Medicine Associates and at Botsford Hospital, managing both common illnesses and complex problems for adults. As a primary care physician, he recommends that his patients follow a course of disease prevention and wellness. A full range of diagnostic and laboratory services is offered by Dr. McMichael's practice.
At Botsford, this dedicated physician not only is the Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program, but also is personally responsible for training residents to provide patients with quality health care both in the hospital and office settings.
Dr. McMichael has earned degrees from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his clinical post-graduate training at Botsford. He hold memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Internists and the Michigan Osteopathic Association.
