Many individuals experience changes in their ability to speak and how their speech sounds. The Outpatient Speech Therapy Department can help. At Beaumont Hospital - Farmington Hills, we offer intensive Outpatient therapy, with highly skilled speech pathologists for this condition.
If you notice a change in the ability to produce your speech, sound slurred or hesitate when you talk, you may have a speech deficit. Speech is defined as how you produce and articulate/enunciate words, phrases and sentences. It is treatable with speech therapy. It is sometimes accompanied by aphasia. Once you have participated in therapy, your problems should be significantly reduced enabling you to speak better in your daily activities.
