Rehabilitation Program

Pediatric Therapy

Early intervention is the key to maximizing learning and physical potential for the pediatric population. Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services can help your child achieve developmental goals.

Botsford Hospital offers the Comprehensive Pediatric Outpatient Program, a multidisciplinary approach designed to meet your child's needs.

Who can benefit:
This program might be right for children experiencing any of the following symptoms:

• Inability to meet age-appropriate milestones.
• Sensory integration problems, such as hypersensitivity to sound, textures, movement or touch.
• Lack of motor control.
• Feeding and/or swallowing difficulties.
• Speech, language, or cognitive delays.
• Decreased coordination.
• Decreased mobility.
• Torticollis (persistent head tilt).
• Cranial asymmetry.

About the program:
Therapy services are available throughout the year; our staff looks forward to meeting and working with your child! The Comprehensive Pediatric Outpatient Program is a great way to supplement school therapy during summer break.

About the therapist:
A team of licensed Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists, each with additional specialized training in pediatric therapy, conduct the Comprehensive Pediatric Outpatient Program.

What to do when you suspect a problem:

• Take your child to your Pediatrician for an assessment and to discuss your concerns.
• Ask your Pediatrician to write a prescription (with your child's diagnosis) for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy.
• Call for an appointment.
