We will contact the patient to set-up an appointment for their intake evaluation and pulmonary function test, if one is required.

What are the Covered Diagnoses for Pulmonary Rehabilitation?

Medicare and other insurers are very specific regarding covered diagnoses for pulmonary rehabilitation. The most common covered diagnoses are:

135. Sarcoidosis
491.20 Obstructive chronic bronchitis w/o acute exacerbation
491.21 Obstructive chronic bronchitis w/ acute exacerbation
492.8 Emphysema
493.20 Chronic obstructive asthma w/o status asthmaticus
494.0 Cough variant asthma
494.0 Bronchiectasis w/o acute exacerbation
496. COPD
501. Asbestosis
515. Post-inflammatory pulmonary fibrosis
516.3 Idiopathic fibrosing alveolitis (pulmonary fibrosis)
