The Family Practice/OMM Residency Program at Botsford Hospital is a three-year program following acceptance as a Family Practice resident. It provides all the essentials necessary for an outstanding graduate medical education and allows each resident to specialize in their area of personal interest.
Accredited by the American Osteopathic Association, this residency program is fully approved by the Committee on Evaluation and Education of the American College of General Practitioners in Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery and leads to eligibility for certification examination by this organization.
Botsford Hospital is affiliated with the State Wide Campus System (SCS) of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and offers training to externs, interns, residents and fellows from all over the United States. Family Practice is a participating SCS member. In addition, Botsford Hospital maintains affiliations with many of the best teaching hospitals in the metropolitan Detroit area and when appropriate, residents will spend out rotations at these institutions.
