The Otolaryngology-Orofacial Plastic Surgery program at Botsford Hospital is a five-year residency, including the tracked internship. The residency provides a wide exposure to techniques involving management of head and neck pathology, pediatric ENT, head and neck trauma, airway emergencies, as well as post-operative care of patients. ENT residents provide all Emergency Department call and inpatient consultation services with supervision from attending physicians.
Affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM), ENT residents coordinate and participate in the Statewide Campus System (SCS) Otolaryngology Symposiums: Otology/Temporal Bone Lab, Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Lecture and Anatomy Lab, Coding and Billing and Residency Leadership. The SCS is a partnership of twenty major osteopathic teaching hospitals and MSUCOM.
Established in 1979, Botsford proudly supports the education and surgical training of Otolaryngology/Facial Plastics Surgery residents and has many ENT graduates across the country.
This residency is approved by the AOCOO-HMS and fulfills requirements set by the guidelines for training at http://www.aocoohns.org/.
Call Schedule: Five residents share 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend per month
