The Library was notified by the Botsford Foundation that an anonymous donor had given the Library a gift of money to be used to purchase new materials. All we knew was that our generous benefactor was from CEMS. With that in mind, we decided to use those funds in the best way possible to benefit our first response workers, emergency medicine residents, emergency department workers, LSTI students and trauma team.
We purchased two electronic books, that can be accessed 24/7 by use of your library barcode:
- Trauma Care: Initial Assessment and Management in the Emergency Department
- Essentials of Terror Medicine
and five print books:
- Prehospital Emergency Care
- Advanced Assessment and Treatment of Trauma
- Prehospital Behavioral Emergencies and Crisis Response
- The Hospital for Sick Children Manual of Pediatric Trauma
- Terrorism Handbook for Operational Responders
These new titles will be on display on the “New Materials” shelf for the next few weeks so stop in and take a look at them.
The Library would like to thank our anonymous donor for the very generous gift.
Comments and questions can be directed to the Library, 248-471-8434.
