This program is an individualized instruction program for pregnant women who require nutrition and/or insulin instruction.
The patient is instructed by a certified diabetes educator on the following topics:
Follow-up is conducted during one-to-one instructional visits and by phone. These methods allow the diabetes educators to assess blood glucose and address any problems in blood glucose control.
A physician prescription is required to enter the program.
