specializes in orthopedic trauma and fracture repair.

Robert Colen, D.O., specializes in orthopedic trauma and fracture repair. Dr. Colen also specializes in treating complex fractures that result from serious trauma. Before joining the medical staff at Botsford, Dr. Colen spent 13 years as an emergency paramedic. After attending medical school, he completed his internship and orthopedic residency at Botsford. He also completed a year-long orthopedic trauma fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Daniel Fahim, M.D.

Daniel Fahim, M.D.,
is Botsford's director of neurosurgery.

A Michigan native, Daniel Fahim, M.D., is Botsford’s  director of neurosurgery.  Dr. Fahim is skilled in the full spectrum of surgical and nonsurgical treatments for brain and spine disorders. He is specially trained in both minimally invasive and complex spinal surgery as well as in the treatment of brain and spine tumors. Dr. Fahim completed his neurosurgical training at Baylor College of Medicine and MD Anderson Cancer Center. In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Fahim is teaching the next generation of physicians as a professor at Oakland University Medical School.

Botsford's chief of surgery, is board certified in thoracic and general surgery, critical care and advanced life support.

Earl Hecker, D.O., Botsford’s chief of surgery, is board certified in thoracic and general surgery, critical care and advanced life support. As a colonel in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, he extended his trauma surgery knowledge by treating soldiers injured in Iraq and Afghanistan. Dr. Hecker did his general surgical training at Botsford, thoracic surgical training in Denmark, critical care training in New York, and holds fellowships in the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons. He is a clinical professor of thoracic surgery at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Michael Rebock, D.O.

Michael Rebock, D.O.
is a board-certified surgeon with a special interest in trauma care.

Michael Rebock, D.O., is a board-certified surgeon with a special interest in trauma care. He is also Botsford Hospital’s medical director of trauma services. Dr. Rebock serves on the Michigan chapter of the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. He earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his postgraduate training at Botsford.  He belongs to a number of professional organizations and is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.

Sandor Terner, D.O.

Sandor Terner, D.O.
is an anesthesiologist at Botsford.

Sandor Terner, D.O., is certified in trauma care and specializes in regional and ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks, a procedure that offers patients a number of benefits for pain control and reduces the amount of anesthesia needed during surgery. He received his medical education at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at the Naval Medical Center at San Diego. Dr. Terner served in both the U.S. Army and Navy for more than 13 years.

is an emergency medicine specialist and chairs Botsford's Emergency Medicine Department.

Sanford Vieder, D.O., is an emergency medicine specialist and chairs Botsford’s Emergency Medicine Department. He is board certified in emergency medicine and serves as a staff physician at Botsford’s Emergency & Trauma Center. Dr. Vieder received his medical education at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he now serves as an assistant clinical professor of medicine.  He performed his emergency medicine residency at Botsford. He is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and has been published in the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association.
