Brain Fitness: Use It or Lose It

Follow these top 10 daily activities to maintain your brain:

  1. Play games for 15 minutes.
  2. Meditate daily for relaxation.
  3. Eat healthy fats for better brain function. Focus on fish oils, olive oil, flaxseed and walnuts.
  4. Tell good, detailed stories. The details help you solidify memories.
  5. Turn off your TV.
  6. Exercise your body to increase oxygen to your brain.
  7. Branch out and read something different.
  8. Learn a new skill.
  9. Make simple changes. The more something is second nature, the less your brain has to work to do it.
  10. Train your brain by focusing on fun activities that promote memory, visualization and reasoning.
