This site, from the American Academy of Pediatrics, is aimed at teachers, parents and community leaders to help them understand how to prepare to help children in the wake of a disaster.
- Disaster Preparedness in Michigan
Contains a wide variety of information to help your family develop an emergency plan with links to information about natural disasters, chemical or biological emergencies.
- Federal Emergency Management Agency
The site contains information about the types of hazards, where to obtain assistance, and preparedness. There is a section for educating children.
The US Department of Homeland Security created this site on which citizens can access disaster preparedness information.
