Dr. Schoeps is board certified in Family Medicine and has special training in Geriatric Medicine (and in treating patients of all ages). His goal is to help older adults live healthier and more satisfying lives by evaluating and treating health problems that become more common with aging, such as arthritis, dementia, depression, diabetes, falls and mobility, incontinence, memory loss and osteoporosis.
Dr. Schoeps emphasizes preventive medicine, realizing that all aspects of patients' lives affect their well being. He encourages his patients to participate actively in their own health care. His practice offers these on-site services: EKG, x-ray, breathing function testing, blood sugar testing and hemoglobin testing. Dr. Schoeps speaks some German.
Dr. Schoeps has board certifications in Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Addiction Medicine. He received his medical education from Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Schoeps completed his post-graduate training at Botsford Hospital, Farmington Hills, Michigan. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of General Practitioners in Osteopathic Medicine. He participates in the Family Practice Residency Program.
