DVDs for Emergency Department Patients

Patients who come to Botsford Hospital through our Emergency Department can be here for a long while.  For most patients, tests need to be scheduled, results need to be read and specialists may need to be called. This all takes time.  Portable DVD players with headphones can make the wait more bearable.  We are also building a library of DVDs for patients to choose from, including titles that are appropriate for children and young adults.

Clip-on Dinner Trays

These serving tables clip directly to the bed rails and make a comfortable, safe, practical way for patients to eat while waiting in the Emergency Department.  The compact size makes for a practical solution in the Emergency Department where space is limited.

Wireless Phones (for healthcare provider use)

These wireless phones, specially adapted for hospital use, allow a nurse to make a call from the patient's bedside regarding care. Among other things, a nurse might call the physician with a question or make transportation arrangements for a test. Several departments at Botsford Hospital currently utilize these phones. They are very well received among patients and their families. Your purchase will help provide Spectralink Phones to the Progressive Care and Oncology Units.

Sleeper Chairs

Your purchase of a sleeper chair will allow family to be near their loved one during a stay in the hospital. Currently, Botsford Hospital has two sleeper chairs but the demand is much higher.
