Intensive Insulin Management
This program is designed for those requiring more intensive insulin management to promote better blood sugar control. The goal is to further teach and assist each patient to achieve tighter blood glucose control through proactive management.
The diabetes educator conducts an initial assessment with specific instruction on the following topics:
- Carbohydrate counting
- Intensive insulin management
- Signs and symptoms of low blood sugar
- Blood sugar monitoring
Personal one-to-one follow-up appointments are scheduled based upon the needs of the individual.
