A wide variety of cancer treatment options exist and vary in intensity, duration, risk and efficacy. Not all treatments are appropriate for all stages or locations of cancer and only your doctor can determine the best course of treatment for you.
Whichever path you and your doctor choose, The Botsford Cancer Center offers a complete list of cancer treatment options including medical oncology and radiation oncology. We offer outpatient radiation and chemotherapy as well as the following treatments in our cancer center, where you can leave the worrying to us.
Our oncology practices provide 19 suites or infusion bays.

High-dose rate (HDR) Brachytherapy
Botsford Cancer Center is the only cancer center in the area that offers two-day HDR brachytherapy treatment for prostate cancer and five-day MammoSite treatment for breast cancer. Learn more about HDR brachytherapy.
Used for lung cancer patients, this is a technologically advanced procedure that tracks a patient’s breathing cycle during radiation treatment. Using a 4D CT scan when simulating radiation treatment, the radiation oncologist is able to map out the anatomical location of a tumor at a specific point in the breathing cycle. A more precise dose of radiation is given to the tumor, sparing normal tissue.
Active Breathing Control (ABC)
Used for left sided breast patients and for tumors in the thorax and abdomen, ABC monitors and controls normal organ movement and reduces the volume of normal tissue that will be irradiated.
Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation
Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
Used for the treatment of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Used for radiation therapy treatment as well as diagnostic and treatment planning.
