Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Certified Lactation Consultant
Elaine has an extensive background in pediatric health care and lactation. Prior to joining the Botsford staff, Elaine worked as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the Detroit Institute for Children and as a staff nurse at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital at the University of Michigan.
Another facet of Elaine's job is to coordinate the Breastfeeding Clinic at Botsford Hospital. She is available as a resource to breastfeeding families, both in the pediatric office as well as in the hospital.
Elaine received her B.S.N. (Cum Laude) from the University of Michigan and holds a Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of Michigan. She is certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and as a lactation consultant by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. She has served on the board of Michigan chapter of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners for many years. Elaine has been a clinical instructor of nurse practitioner students for both the University of Michigan and Wayne State University, as well as lactation students studying for certification.
