Obstetrics/Gynecology
As a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist, Dr. Powell considers the practice of obstetrics and gynecology an honor and a privilege. He continually strives to provide his patients with both proven and innovative methods of diagnosis and treatment and uses the latest technology whenever possible. He believes that complete communication with the patient is the key to successful treatment and care.
A graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Powell is trained in advanced diagnostic and gynecological surgery techniques. He completed his internship and residency in obstetrics/gynecology at Botsford Hospital and is a Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Powell serves as the Director of Medical Education at Botsford and is a Fellow in the Academy of Osteopathic Directors of Medical Education. He is also an associate clinical professor of obstetrics/gynecology at Michigan State University.
Dr. Powell is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Infertility Society, American Society of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and numerous other professional organizations.
