Meet our Fitness Staff

Our highly-educated Fitness staff consists of professionals with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Exercise Science. As well, our Fitness Specialists are certified by the American College of Sports Medicine to provide skilled, personalized programs and assessments that suit ability.

 

Staff Bios

 

  • Chris Navan graduated in 2001 from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science, after serving four years in the U.S Marine Corps.  After his internship, which included working at Botsford Hospital, Cardiovascular Clinical Associates, and at TRACC, he was hired in the fall of 2001 as a full time Exercise Physiologist   Chris is certified in Basic Life Support and is a Certified Personal Trainer (American Council on Exercise).
    Chris’s personal interests are sports, playing golf, working out and watching movies.
  • Mesha Terrell graduated in 1996 from Oakland University with a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies with a concentration in Exercise Science and in the spring 2004, she completed her second undergraduate degree: Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science, from Eastern Michigan University.  After graduation, Mesha began her career as in intern for Botsford Center for Health Improvement.  Shortly after completing her internship, Mesha joined the BCHI fitness staff as an Fitness Specialist.  Mesha’s interest is in weight management and nutrition with a special interest in pregnancy and fitness.  She is certified as a Health Fitness Specialist (American College of Sports Medicine), Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) and First Aid (American Red Cross).  In her spare time, Mesha enjoys reading; watching HGTV, scrap booking and spending time with her family.
  • Natalie Beckeris a Fitness Specialist with her Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Exercise Science.  She has been with Botsford Center for Health Improvement since December 2006.  She completed her Internship with Botsford Center for Health Improvement and at Botsford Hospital gaining experience with Cardiac Rehabilitation and stress testing.  Growing up in Pennsylvania and moving to Michigan in 1998, Natalie has always been involved with swimming.  Sharing her passion for aquatics continues, as she is the Aquatic Programs Coordinator here at Botsford Center for Health Improvement.  Natalie is a certified Health Fitness Specialist (American College of Sports Medicine) and is CPR/AED certified.  During her free time, she enjoys camping, backpacking and running with her dog, Rocky.
  • Cristina Noble graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Eastern Michigan University.  She is certified in Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) and is a Certified Personal Trainer (American Council on Exercise).  She began her career working in physical therapy, a background that has helped her work with members who are post-rehab or who may have physical limitations.  She also enjoys sport-specific training with BCHI members.  Cristina is a sponsored athlete who competes in marathons, triathlons and duathlons.  In any spare time that she has, Cristina enjoys trail running, mountain biking, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and twin sons.
