Novi, Mich. (May 5, 2009)---The Botsford Center for Health Improvement can help you get fit and stay active this spring by setting a goal to walk or run a 5K. Join fitness experts at a Step into Spring event at the Botsford Center for Health Improvement on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help get you started with your walking or running goals.
Experts will assess your flexibility, analyze your walking stride and critique your running form to determine risks for walking or running injuries. You’ll also learn how metabolism changes with an active lifestyle and discover how you can best manage your body weight while you train.
The Step Into Spring schedule includes the following:
9-10 a.m.: Pilates and Cardio-kickboxing
10-11 a.m.: Boot Camp
10 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Vendors including New Balance Footwear, BCHI Metabolism 101 and Irene’s Massage School.
11 a.m.: 5K Walk/Run Coaching and Form Assessment
11 a.m. – noon: Spinning
Noon: Selecting Proper Footwear with Dr. Charles Young, Botsford Podiatrist
