Farmington Hills, Mich. (March 28, 2012)---William K. Johnston III, M.D., has joined the medical staff at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. After receiving his medical education from Albany Medical College in New York, Dr. Johnston finished surgical and urologic residencies at the University of California. He went on to complete a fellowship in laparoscopic, robotic and endourologic surgery at University of Michigan.
Dr. Johnston specializes in adrenal, kidney and prostate cancer and disorders. He has a U.S. patent on a new surgical instrument used for kidney cancer and has developed two iPhone applications, Kidney Stone App and Uroflow, that can be downloaded to help patients keep track of their fluid intake and to help patients assess problems that may be caused by an enlarged prostate.
