Farmington Hills, Mich. (August 5, 2010)---Botsford Hospital’s annual Louis J. Spagnuolo, D.O., Golf Classic, held on Thursday, July 29, had another successful year. With the support of the Botsford community including physicians, business partners and community partners, the event raised over $68,000. All of the proceeds will benefit The Botsford Foundation, the Commission on Children’s Issues of Redford and the Farmington Hills Police Benevolent Association.
For the past 14 years, the golf outing has raised more than $550,000 for the local community. Eugene Laveroni, D.O., Chairman of the Louis J. Spagnuolo, D.O., Golf Classic committee, says, “The community came out swinging, demonstrating their support for Botsford Hospital and the surrounding communities. We’d like to thank each of our sponsors, especially our Title Sponsor Tanoury, Nauts, McKinney and Garbarino, PLLC.”
Botsford Hospital is a multi-specialty 330 bed hospital and verified trauma center located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The campus also houses an imaging center and a comprehensive care cancer center. Botsford Hospital is also home to an extensive medical education program and is part of Michigan State University's statewide campus system. Botsford Hospital each year cares for approximately 16,000 inpatients and more than 60,000 emergency and trauma patients with a team of 2,500 employees, 300 volunteers and more than 600 physicians. A not-for-profit hospital, Botsford provided almost $10.5 million in community benefit during its 2011 fiscal year.
