Farmington Hills, Mich. (August 28, 2009)---The Botsford Cancer Center is partnering with Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit to offer support for people living with cancer, their friends and families. Beginning on Tuesday, September 15, Gilda’s Club will hold weekly support groups for all men and women touched with cancer.
Three free programs will be offered each Tuesday at the Botsford Cancer Center located at 27900 Grand River Ave. in Farmington Hills. Participants do not have to be a Botsford Hospital patient to attend.
Wellness Group: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
For adult men and women living with any type of cancer
Family Group: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
For adult family members, caregivers and friends of people living with cancer
Yoga Workshop: 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Anyone touched by cancer is welcome. The instructor can modify movements for varying physical capabilities.

Gilda's Club Metro Detroit provides free social and emotional support for men, women and children living with cancer, their families and friends. Each month, Gilda’s Club hosts over 150 support and networking groups, education lectures, children and teen activities, workshops and social activities.
