Botsford Offers New Nutrition and Weight Loss Programs for 2009

Novi, MI (January 13, 2009)--- Is your New Year’s resolution to lose weight and focus on healthy eating?  Health and fitness seem to be on the minds of many people this month and joining health clubs is often a top priority in January.  To help people keep their resolutions throughout the year, the Botsford Center for Health Improvement is offering three new services focusing on food choices and weight loss.  The new programs include nutrition coaching, metabolic testing and heart rate-based training with or without personal training.  These services are available for members and non-members.

Nutrition coaching will allow you to work with a dietitian to set an individualized eating plan that is best for you and your body.  With metabolic testing, you will be able to discover now only how your body burns calories but how to efficiently exercise in order to build greater strength and speed.  Heart rate-based training involves wearing a heart rate monitor to test your heart rate training zone and resting metabolic rate.  You will then learn what zone is most appropriate for your weight loss goals.

The staff at the Botsford Center for Health Improvement will work with individuals to determine what services are best for you based on your goals.  Personal trainers will be available the week of January 19 to offer free advice on these services as well as information on fitness, goal setting, weight loss and staying motivated.
