Farmington Hills, MI (October 10, 2008)--- Mihai Ghilezan, M.D., Ph.D, has joined the medical staff at Botsford Hospital and will care for patients at Botsford’s new Cancer Center opening in January.
Dr. Ghilezan is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the American Brachytherapy Society.
Dr. Ghilezan received his medical education (1988) and Ph.D. (2001) from Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj, Romania. He completed his radiation oncology residency at the University of Paris in France in 1994 and worked there until 1997 when he moved to the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, Italy. Dr. Ghilezan joined the Department of Radiation Oncology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak in 2001 and was appointed Director of Brachytherapy Services in 2005.
