Dr. Zekman is board certified in internal medicine. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.

Dr. Zekman received his medical education from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City. He performed both his internship and internal medicine residency at Botsford Hospital, where he was Chief Resident. He also completed a medical oncology fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
