Farmington Hills, MI (June 5, 2008)--- Connie R. Williams, Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer for Botsford Health Care, has successfully completed the Certified in Healthcare Compliance exam, thus earning the “CHC” designation. The CHC certification denotes that Williams is a professional with knowledge of relevant regulations and expertise in compliance processes, and he is able to address compliance legal concerns and promote organizational integrity through the operation of effective compliance programs.
In addition to his CHC designation, Williams is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow in the Health Care Financial Management Association. He is a graduate of Wayne State University’s School of Business Administration.
Williams, a Southfield resident for 30 years, is a member and past Chair of the city’s Total Living Commission and has been a member of the Southfield Public School Board of Education since 2004, serving as its President and Vice President. On June 2, 2008, he was elected to the Oakland Schools Board of Education, after serving as an appointed board member since October 2007.
Williams has served as Botsford’s Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer since January 2001. Prior to working at Botsford, Williams was the Director of Corporate Responsibility for Mercy Memorial Hospital System in Monroe.
