Farmington Hills, MI (October 15, 2007)--- Residents of the Botsford Senior Living Center located at the Botsford Commons Senior Community in Farmington Hills are creating stuffed pillows for children in honor of Make a Difference Day, which is October 27.
Having overcome adversity over the years, the residents of the senior center wanted to give children something that would help them through tough times. Barb Smith, recreation program coordinator at the Botsford Senor Living Center, says, "Many of the residents have visual, physical or memory impairments and are dependent on others throughout the day. This project allows them to do something for others and feel good about what they have accomplished."
Approximately ten residents have been helping with the project and they plan to have 24 to 48 pillows to present to the Farmington Hills police department on Friday, October 26 at 10:30 a.m.
