Benefits of Breastfeeding

Farmington Hills, MI (August 2, 2007)--- Breastfeeding provides nutritional and health advantages that last beyond infancy and offers health benefits for mothers too. As part of Breastfeeding Week, Botsford Hospital's breastfeeding expert, Elaine Webber, R.N., clinical nurse specialist, talks about the benefits of breastfeeding your baby.

Webber says, "Nearly all women are able to breastfeed when they receive consistent and accurate information and are supported by a health care team and their loved ones."

If you are interested in breastfeeding your baby, Botsford Hospital offers a breastfeeding basics class. The class is designed to provide parents with knowledge on how to breastfeed their baby.
